Five Simple + Affordable Props to Elevate your Brand Photos

1. Mugs / Cups

This is one of my favorite ways to add a pop of brand color to your images because everyone drinks something and as an added bonus it gives you something to do with your hands (unlike Ricky Bobby) so you won’t feel awkward!

Find a mug, glass, bottle, etc. in one of your main brand colors, fill with your drink of choice and enjoy sipping on the contents while we get some fun and on brand photos!

This mug was a great way to add a pop of turquoise to Bry’s photos!

2. Notebooks / Folders / Pens

No matter what you do, there's a good likelihood that you use notebooks or folders and pens and pencils for your work. When you’re out and about, look for ones in your brand colors to build brand recognition! These are great sitting on a desk or table, sticking out of a bag, or action shots of you using them.

This day planner was a great prop for my client because it worked with her neutral brand colors and gave her fun content with photos highlighting the product itself, as well as her utilizing it to help organize her business.

3. Accessories

Things like headbands, belts, watches, sunglasses, earrings, etc. all create wonderful pops of color without being too overwhelming. They can also be really fun! Look for little pops of color that you can easily add to your outfit that will add your brand colors in a fun way and can be swapped around for variety.

This photo is a perfect example of using props for pops of color! The yellow pops out in not only her earrings, but also her bracelet and scarf - which are actually products that she sells with her beautiful paintings on them! So this one is twofold - pops of brand colors while also showing off product!

4. Tech cases

Phone, computer, i-pad, etc. If you use your tech in your daily work - and who doesn’t these days - look for a case or cover in your brand colors so that even your device is on brand!

This iridescent pink case over the rose colored MacBook was absolutely perfect for Alex’s brand shoot! She also had that amazing pink computer bag that added even more brand color to this shot!

5. Branded Stickers

This is such a fun way to bring your brand colors / logo into your photos. Stick them on your water bottle, computer, phone, etc. If you’ve never ordered stickers before you can get some great intro deals! My personal favorite is Sticker Mule!

My water bottle just happens to be in one of my brand colors and I got these awesome stickers from Sticker Mule and they’re a great way to show off my brand when I’m out and about as well as a fun way to have a pop of color and include my logo in some of my photos.
